Corporate Outreach Program

The idea for this program came from First Tee. Their Teens on Greens program offers homework help, mentoring, and college support, but it did not show students what different jobs are actually like each day. I shared this idea with them, and they encouraged me to try it. That is how the program started.

Now, I organize visits where students go to real companies and see what people do at work. So far, we have visited Action Sports Canopy, a company that makes canopies and banners for golf tournaments and races, and CNTRST, where their team walked us through their warehouse and showed us what it takes to run a business. We are also talking with Hilton Anaheim about a future visit.

I handle everything behind the scenes, including finding companies, planning visits, and getting students to join. The goal is not to make students choose a career right away. It is to give them real experiences so they can learn about different careers instead of just guessing what they are like.
